Luisa Igloria is the winner of the University of Notre Dame’s 2009 Sandeen Prize for her collection of poetry, Juan Luna’s Revolver.

The Sandeen Prize, which began in 1996, is awarded biannually to an author who has already published at least one volume of poetry. The winner receives a thousand dollars and publication by the University of Notre Dame Press. Read more here.
