New updates on 4 Cha contributors: Lyn Lifshin, Bernard Henrie, Anna Yin and Sumana Roy

The Spring 2012 issue of Apple Valley Review is now available and Cha contributors Lyn Lifshin and Bernard Henrie have new poetry in the issue. Read Lyn’s “222 Jackson Ave” and Bernard’s short poem “I Walk Fast Like a Man Switching Trains”.

Lyn Lifshin’s poems were published in issue 4 and issue 10 of Cha.
Bernard Henrie’s poetry was published in Issue 9 of Cha and is forthcoming in Issue #15 of Cha.

The poetry month is coming (April). The year 2012 will mark the 14th National Poetry Month across Canada. There will be a lot of poetry events during this month. I am organizing one at Churchill Meadow Library. (Poster of national Poetry Reading)
Richard Greene, Cheryl Xavier, Brandon Pitts and Anthazia Kadir will join me on April 5 (Thursday night) from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Here are photos of poets and musicians. The library will make a nice poetry display for our books and Canadian Poetry in March and April to celebrate.

Anna Yin’s Wings Toward Sunlight

Anna Yin’s new book of poetry, Wings Toward Sunlight, was launched on 20 March, 2011. Learn more about Anna’s poetry here.
Also, Anna was one of 75 finalists for the third annual people’s choice awards for immigrants. The voting for Top 25 Canadian Immigrants is online here. There are many contestants and Anna’s name appears at the end.  Please support her!
